My neighbour recommended YOPA and the buyers of her house had also had a really good experience with the Dundee and Perth YOPA agent Wayne Robertson. Wayne was excellent - really knowledgeable, easy to reach and in communication throughout. I'd done a reasonable amount of research before going with Wayne - quotes from 1 solicitor and 2 other estate agents. Wayne was clearly very experienced with the local market and felt very approachable. The obvious benefit with YOPA is the cost, which was explained upfront and worked out cheaper than the others. I found with other estate agents the provided quote often didn't include VAT or there were hidden costs... which is just frustrating. The whole marketing process for my house was very slick and Wayne coordinated everything (photos, home report, viewings etc.) while I was at work. It was easy having a single point of contact, rather than contacting a team within an estate agency. I accepted an offer within a fortnight and the process was very smooth. There are a several very negative reviews online for YOPA but these seem to be due to bad local agents, and given YOPA is a nationwide name a few bad apples will be inevitable and over-represented in search results. Wayne has been fantastic. I would recommend YOPA to anyone selling their home, especially if their local agent is decent.
